The Civil Aviation Training Center (CATC) is the training arm of the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) established on 10th June 1985 by the government of United Republic of Tanzania. The Centre is located in Dar es Salaam at the Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) Terminal One Building.

The Centre has existed from 1985 supporting training of technical cadres in the air navigation services under the then Directorate of Civil Aviation (DCA) that came into establishment after the collapse of East African Community. The Civil Aviation (Training Centre) Establishment Order, 2020 made under sections 26 (1)(o) of the Civil Aviation ACT (CAP 80), legalizes the existence of the Centre and stipulates;
